Poppy Michelle – Terms & Conditions
Please take the time to read these Terms and Conditions carefully before proceeding with your booking.
By paying your non-refundable booking fee, you are entering into a legally binding contract and agree to the terms set out below.
________________________________________
1. Bookings and Payments
1.1 A £100 non-refundable and non-transferable booking fee is required to secure your wedding or booking date and the number of people/services agreed in your quotation.
No booking is confirmed, and no date will be held, until this payment has been received.
1.2 The booking fee will be deducted from your final balance but cannot be redeemed against a trial.
1.3 This fee represents a genuine loss incurred due to the loss of opportunity to rebook the date, as well as associated administrative and marketing costs.
1.4 All bookings are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
1.5 The final balance must be paid no later than 14 days before your wedding date, by bank transfer in a single transaction with the wedding/booking date as the reference.
All payments made toward the balance are non-refundable and non-transferable, except where expressed elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.
1.6 If the Client cancels the wedding hair and/or makeup booking within 8 weeks of the event date, the full outstanding balance will remain payable, as it is unlikely that the date can be rebooked at such short notice and the Artist will suffer a genuine loss. (Clients who booked prior to 2025 are subject to the cancellation policy in effect at the time of booking).
1.7 The minimum spend for 2026 weekend or peak season weddings (March–October) is £545 (excluding travel). If your total booking falls below this amount, the minimum charge may still apply. The minimum spend for Sundays & Bank holidays may vary and is quoted at the artist’s discretion.
1.8 Once your booking fee has been paid, the total amount agreed at the time of booking cannot be reduced. If additional services are added later (e.g. requiring an assistant), those changes become part of the confirmed booking and cannot subsequently be reduced.

2. Wedding Day Logistics
2.1 It is the bride/client’s responsibility to organise the morning schedule to ensure that all members of the bridal party are ready at least one hour before the ceremony.
2.2 Please ensure that we have early access to the venue or location as agreed in advance.
2.3 If Poppy or her assistant are required to set up and pack down twice, or travel between multiple locations or addresses, this must be confirmed at the time of booking. Additional travel and setup fees will apply (see price list).
2.4 Should time constraints prevent completion of the full booking due to late notice of multiple locations or delays outside our control, the full agreed amount will still be payable.
2.5 Bookings requiring the artist(s) to rise before 4:00 a.m. will incur an early-morning fee of £65 per stylist. This fee will be added to the final balance once the full timings are confirmed.

3. Trials
3.1 Hair and/or makeup trials are only available after the non-refundable booking fee has been paid.
3.2 It is the client’s responsibility to arrange their trial appointment. Trials are typically conducted 1–5 months prior to the wedding date, on weekdays (Monday–Thursday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.).
3.3 Once the trial payment has been made, it is non-refundable.
3.4 Trials are held at the artist’s home address in North Wales (CH5 4LH). Travel to the client’s chosen location is available within a 30-minute drive of this address and subject to travel fees and suitable parking. Poppy cannot travel further for trials.
3.5 The purpose of the trial is to rehearse your chosen look, assess your skin and hair type, and refine styling/timings for your wedding day.
It is not intended as a test to decide whether to book the artist.
3.6 If you are not fully satisfied with the quality of your trial, you must raise this either during the trial or within 48 hours of your trial via email.
Where appropriate, a complimentary re-trial may be offered, subject to availability.
Please note:
• Complimentary re-trials are not guaranteed if your original trial takes place within 6 weeks of your wedding or during peak season (March–October).
• Requests made after 48 hours will not be eligible for a re-trial.

4. Allergies and Medical Conditions
4.1 All allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions must be disclosed in writing at the time of booking.
4.2 While every effort is made to check product ingredients, Poppy Michelle and her assistants cannot guarantee that products are free from all allergens, nor accept liability for allergic reactions.
4.3 Clients are encouraged to conduct their own patch tests in advance where sensitivities are known or suspected.
4.4 If the client has a contagious infection (e.g. cold sores, conjunctivitis, or other eye infections) on the day of the trial or event, the booking may be cancelled immediately for health and safety reasons.
Subject to availability, an alternative date may be offered.
4.5 In such cases on the wedding day itself, the bride or other members of the bridal party may be asked to provide their own makeup brushes or certain products to ensure hygiene.

Adverse Weather and Force Majeure
5.1 The Artist shall not be considered in breach of this Agreement where performance is prevented, delayed, or made unsafe by circumstances beyond the Artist’s reasonable control. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to, severe or adverse weather conditions (including snow, ice, flooding, or storms), acts of God, government restrictions, transport disruption, or any other event constituting force majeure.
5.2 Where performance is unable to proceed due to adverse weather or a force majeure event, the booking fee shall remain non-refundable, as it represents administrative costs and the reservation of the booking date.
5.3 Subject to clause 5.4, where performance is prevented for the reasons set out in clause 5.1, the Client shall be entitled to a refund of 50% of the total fees paid, less the non-refundable booking fee. Any trial, consultation, or preparatory payments (where applicable) are also non-refundable.
5.4 Where possible, the Artist may offer to transfer all payments (excluding the booking fee) to a mutually agreed alternative date, subject to availability. If an alternative date is accepted by the Client, no refund shall be due.
5.5 Where no alternative date can be mutually agreed, the booking shall be deemed cancelled due to force majeure. The refund described in clause 5.3 shall represent a fair and proportionate settlement of the Agreement.
5.6 The Artist shall not be liable for any additional losses, costs, or expenses incurred by the Client as a result of such cancellation, including but not limited to travel, accommodation, venue hire, or third-party services.

6.3 All payments made toward destination weddings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Prices for travel and accommodation may fluctuate if not paid in advance.

8. Artist Cancellation and Conduct
8.1 In the unlikely event that Poppy must cancel due to illness, accident, bereavement, or other emergency, every effort will be made to find a suitable replacement artist.
If this is not possible, a full refund of all monies paid towards the wedding day balance (including the booking fee) will be issued. If a trial has already taken place this payment will remain non-refundable.
8.2 If Poppy or any member of her team feels threatened, harassed, or unsafe, the booking will be terminated immediately, and no refunds will be given.

9. Client Right to Cancel
9.1 The client has a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of paying the booking fee to cancel the contract and receive a full refund of the booking fee, provided that the wedding date is more than 14 days away.
9.2 Cancellations must be made in writing by email to info@poppymichelle.co.uk.
After the 14-day period, the booking fee becomes non-refundable and all other clauses apply.
