Terms and Conditions

Please make sure you have taken the time to read and understand the terms and conditions set out below before you proceed with your booking. Once you have paid your non refundable booking fee you are entering into a contract and are bound to the terms and conditions below.

Weddings:
Wedding bookings are only secured after a £100  non refundable and non transferable booking fee has been paid by the client. No booking date will be held by Poppy Michelle until this payment has been made. The non refundable booking fee is to secure your wedding date and the number of people and services agreed on the quote. This booking fee is non refundable and will not be transferable to alternative dates. Once you have confirmed you would like to book Poppy Michelle for your Wedding you will then be sent payment details to secure the booking. This fee is then deducted from the final balance for the agreed Wedding Date. It cannot be redeemed against the trial. The booking fee paid by the client for the agreed date is to secure the amount of services agreed on the quote and is to compensate the artist for any losses incurred through cancellations. In the event of cancellation by the client, all monies paid shall be retained by Poppy Michelle in order to offset its loss of business. Not only does the booking fee cover the artist for any losses incurred through cancellation, it also covers the time and administration for each booking and any advertising fees incurred from website bookings. 

The final balance for the Wedding Day must be paid no later than 14 days before the wedding date, payable via bank transfer only and must be sent in one transaction.  Once the final balance has been paid or any payments have been made towards the final balance, this will be non-refundable and non-transferable. If you decide to cancel your Wedding booking within 28 days of your agreed booking date then you will still be charged the full amount of the Wedding Day total on your invoice.  The minimum requirement spend for a weekend or Peak season Wedding booking (March-October or Bank Holidays) is £395  (not inc travel) or 4 x adult hair & makeup. If your booking falls below this amount and you still wish to book Poppy Michelle then you may be charged for the minimum requirement. Once the booking fee has been paid by the client the total amount agreed at the time of booking and on the client’s invoice cannot be reduced. If you increase services closer to the time of the wedding resulting in an assistant being added to the booking it will not be possible to decrease the total numbers agreed on the new quote afterwards. 

With regards to the morning of the wedding is it the Bride/client’s responsibility to organise the timings of the bridal party and to ensure we have early access to the venue in order to have everyone ready at least 1 hour before the ceremony time.  If you require Poppy or her assistant to pack away and set up twice or travel to 2 different address’s or locations on site then you must notify Poppy upon booking as additional travel & location set up fees will apply (please see price list).  If you let us know too late and we are unable to complete the total booking number due to time constraints then you will still be required to pay the total amount that was originally agreed on the quote. Any bookings that require the artist's to rise before 4am then an early morning fee of £45 per stylist will apply. Timings should be confirmed by the Bride at the time of booking.


Trials:
Your Hair or Makeup trial is only booked in after you have paid your non refundable booking fee and not before hand. It is the clients responsibility to organise their own trials. The trial can be carried out approximately 
 1 - 5 months before the wedding date and will be carried out on a week day (Mon-Thurs) from 9am-4pm. Once the client has paid for their trial booking this payment will be non refundable. The trial can be carried out at the artist’s home address in North Wales or alternatively the artist can travel to the client’s chosen address (please ask for individual travel fees) if it is within 30 minutes drive of Poppy’s home address (CH5 4LH) and has suitable parking. Poppy is not able to travel any further than this for trial bookings. Please take this into consideration before you make your booking. The trial is a rehearsal of how things are going to go on the Wedding day and gives the stylist a chance to see your natural skin and hair in order to find out what does and doesn’t work. The trial is not a test to see if you like the artist’s work but more of an opportunity to find out if your chosen look works with your style and is achievable and also helps to work out the timings for the wedding morning. Poppy is confident you will be pleased with the results of your trial and goes above and beyond to make sure no one leaves unsatisfied. However if for some reason you are not pleased with the quality of the results after your trial then you must make this aware via email within 48 hours of the trial date, if you haven’t already mentioned whilst having the trial. After a discussion you will have the opportunity for a complimentary re-trial.  If you get in touch after the 48 hour period has passed then you will not be liable for a complimentary re-trial. 


Allergies + Medical Conditions:
If the client has any existing allergies or medical conditions then these must be made aware in writing upon booking. Whilst every effort will be made to check certain products if required, Poppy, or anyone working with her, can not be held responsible for any allergic reactions caused by the products used and states that there is no guarantee that some products will be free from specific allergic ingredients. If the client has any contagious infections on the day of the trial booking, for example  cold sores, conjunctivitis, eye infections etc, then your booking may be cancelled with immediate effect as it is not safe to go ahead with the appointment. Subject to availability, an alternative date may be re-arranged for you. If it is the morning of a Wedding booking then you may be asked to bring your own makeup brushes/lipstick etc.


Adverse Weather Conditions:

If, due to adverse weather conditions such as  severe storms, snow, ice, flooding etc, that prevent Poppy Michelle from safely attending on the morning of your wedding, or any other unpredicted circumstance that prevent Poppy or her assistant from travelling to your venue, the final balance for the wedding hair/makeup and trial will remain non refundable. Please bare this in mind for Winter wedding bookings.


Destination Bookings:

All Destination Wedding Hair & Makeup bookings require a £100 non refundable booking fee to secure the wedding date and the amount of people/services agreed on the quote, this is  redeemed off the total balance for the Wedding Hair/Makeup. It cannot be redeemed against the trial or any other part of the booking (flights etc). The payment towards flights and accommodation will also be required at the time of booking in order for Poppy Michelle to book this in straight away at the agreed price. Any payments made towards a Destination Wedding Hair/Makeup booking are entirely non refundable and non transferable. Please note the prices for flights, accommodation, transfers, luggage etc may be subject to change if not paid for at the time of booking, as prices can inflate and change every day. Personal Data:
Poppy will always ask the client for permission before taking a photograph, which may be used on social media or the website. Agreeing to have your picture taken is agreeing for the use of the picture on social media platforms, advertising purposes and the website. Personal client details will not be passed on to any unknown 3rd party.

Poppy has the right to cancel a booking agreement at anytime without providing a reason. In the rare event that this may happen, a full refund of any monies paid towards the Wedding booking will be refunded back to the client.

If Poppy, or anyone working with her, feels violated or threatened in any way, the client's booking will be cancelled with immediate effect. Any monies paid by the client to Poppy Michelle shall be retained.


Once the client has paid a non refundable booking fee they are agreeing to these terms and conditions and have entered into a contract for the event date and total amount of services agreed. The client has 14 days from booking fee payment to cancel the agreement and leave the contract (unless the booking date is within 14 days of booking fee payment) , a full refund of the booking fee will be supplied back to the client. Cancellations must be made in writing and sent via email to info@poppymichelle.co.uk.
